WHO ARE WE?

We are a group of students who want to advocate for mental health. We want to raise awareness about this issue to remove the stigma associated with having a mental illness.

OUR GOAL

Our goal is to provide students with resources in order to help them learn how to handle stress while giving them a place to make connections and have fun.

WHAT DO WE DO?

We will be holding events and workshops to promote positive mental health. These events will also give students more access to  information on mental health and similar topics.

About Mental Health

Mental health is our emotional, psychological and social well being. It affects our judgement and view of life. This is why it is so important to be aware and to take steps necessary to take care of your mental health. Often times, problems with ones mental health is equated with stress, but it also includes anxiety, depression, easing disorders and other behavioral dysfunctions. Mental health conditions are serious and should not be regarded as inferior physical conditions. To learn more from other organizations, click the button below.

A good mental health creates positive choices, healthier relationships, and a better overall better prospect of life. In any given year, 1 in 5 Canadians experiences a mental illness or addiction problem. Having a good mental health should be a priority to every person and through Let's Talk Mental Health, we hope to make talking about mental health a norm.
